DO NOT LOSE TOO FAST!!! It WILL come back!

So yesterday was my weekly weigh in and while I was not “happy” with the results, I am still down 9 pounds since the start of this.  My weight from last week went up 4 OZ..  This did not knock me down it is just motivating me to not only stick to my food intake restrictions but to do SOME physical workout even when the time has drained from the day. Unlike the photo above, I never place blame anywhere except on myself.  When I don’t lose what I want to lose, I can usually pinpoint my weakness times and know where the weight came from.

This is the nestest addition to my weight journey.  It totally kicked my butt this morning, not to mention the lady in front (Tara) is on of the most annoying contestants I have ever seen on BL, but she started a few pounds lighter than myself and her results are realistic for someone willing to work for it.  And it helps seeing her face while I’m working out…. anger makes me work harder lol

Here are her results from Biggest Loser!

She has had some struggles keeping the weight off, but I think that comes with anyone who has lost the weight too fast. Here are a couple other biggest loser contestants who took it off too fast, did not get a good grip on nutrition and gained it all back when sent back out into reality!

Ryan Benson, the first winner of Biggest Loser, lost 122 lbs. on the show, taking him from 330 to 208. He admitted, however, that he basically starved himself and lived on nothing but a “cleansing beverage” for the last several days of the show. Afterwards, Ryan gained almost all of the weight back, currently putting him at 300lbs.

After losing 214 lbs., Erik Chopin — who started off at 407 — was crowned the winner of Biggest Loser season 3. But after the reality show was over and the trainers had gone home, the deli owner from West Islip, N.Y., slowly gained the weight back.
“I came from such a high of winning then the reality sets in of not being on the show and not being accountable, then I went into the real world and it all started up again,” says the husband and father of three, who got back up to 368 lbs.

YOU make the choice to eat what you eat and YOU make the choice to get off your butt and walk or burn off calories or not.  When it comes down to it, it’s all about SELF! One of the hardest things to deal with is SELF when it comes to issues such as this.  We always just want to “take a day off” or get in the “cheat meal or snack” and that is all find but be sure to take that into account when you do excersice and get your daily workout on.  Don’t be shocked if you have maintained/gained while sneaking these lil snacks or nono foods while still expecting to lose.

I do have one goal for all of this and that would be to have a “vow renewal” on our 10 year anniversary complete with my dream wedding dress I could never squeeze my big butt in 8 years ago.  A beach renewal is one of my goals!

Smal things like this give me more willpower when I’m weak 🙂

Of course the ultimate goal is to be healthy and teach my children a healthier way of life.

WEIGH IN DAY!!! *DRUM ROLLLLLLLLLLLLL*

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO………..

Today was weigh in day after one week of eating healthier and walking more and the results were very pleasing!

I lost 9.4 pounds!!!!  Yay!!!! I hope to never ever see those pounds again!!! BLAH!

Here is a little prospective, I lost over nine of these blobs of yellow grossness!

 Image
The ultimate test was putting on a pair of jeans that I could not get to button over my belly two weeks ago and the results were great!  I could not only BUTTON them but I could also ZIP them!  I stood in the bathroom just staring at them in shock for at least two whole minutes….. I’m still in disbelief.. the proof is in the pudding!! ( ya know.. pudding I can’t eat!) bahahahahahaha

Image

(not actually me, but the same look)!!! :P

And speaking of “looks”… what the heck is up with plus sized clothing?!?!  I don’t get it.. not all fat women want to look like a 72 year old woman who lives in Florida… We want plus sized jeans that that have 55″ legs holes in them… I don’t need the whole end of the pant to cover my foot, I just want to look as normal as possible.  I don’t want shirts with BUTTERFLY SLEEVES…. um.. HELLO@?@?@ I’m trying to HIDE that arm flab, NOT draw attention to it and make it stand out!

Image

Why do we even have to have different clothes than the skinny racks?? Lane Bryant make clothes from 12-28 in the same style… You know those cute shirts you seee hanging up at the trendy places?? They would sell tons of those if they made them in bigger/longer sizes.  I’ll say no thanks to the moo moo and go the the solid print tee layed with a camisole under it….. :)

Speaking of Plus Sized.. Does this image disturb you?

 Image

To me I see a beautiful woman posing for a lovely photo…..

Well… this week has been great! I have fallen into the pattern of walking afternoon/evening and paying attention to my food intake.. :)

If you are on a weight journey as well and did not do as you had hoped, DO NOT GIVE UP.. that is the worst thing you can do… I ate a small piece of cake for fathers day yesterday and it did not throw me off the foodwagon.. I enjoyed it and it was not hard to ignore the rest of the cake!

BE GOOD AND WATCH YOUR INTAKE AND OUTTAKE!!!

PEACE & LOVE

SO MANY OF US CAN RELATE TO THIS, I KNOW!!!!!! 🙂

I GET KNOCKED DOWN… BUT I GET UP AGAIN…. YOU’RE NEVER GONNA KEEP ME DOWN!

Image

So……  Yesterday was ROUGH….  My first “official” (whisper *diet*) day… although I technically don’t like to call it a “diet” but more of a “lifestyle change of eating better” diet is so much easier to just say and people get it.  lol

I did really, really well until dinner time and by then I was starving 😥  I have to learn to eat healthy food… you don’t have to “like it” you just have to “eat it”…… Dr. Phil informed me of that a long time ago..  but it still has yet to sink in.

Last night Samantha came over and we walked 0.7 miles, which for us was a huge step.  I don’t get much activity in at all except for cleaning the house, so this was a big deal.

Image

I usually do not even roll out of bed until eight, but this morning I had to literally push myself out of bed! My alarm went off at 5:30 and I think I may have actually got ready to put the girls in the stroller around six or so after getting myself ready.  It was so peaceful and nice getting out and around early, although at  this moment I am trying to keep myself awake to finish this blog lol

WALKING STATS FROM THIS MORNING:

I did a workout with MapMyRUN! Distance: 1.28mi, time: 00:32:36, pace: 25:34min/mi, speed: 2.35mi/h.

Hoping to walk again tonight and push myself a tad further tomorrow morning!

Here is a lil bit of humor for the day!

PEACE & LOVE

SUSAN ❤

YOU ARE THE BIGGEST LOSER!

Some people can do weight loss on their own, while others need lots of support around themselves.  My family and I are meeting this week to weigh in.  We are going to be putting in a small amount money a week and the winner will get the biggest pot at the end of the challenge. I am hoping that this “challenge” will kick in….. 😀

OK So some ppl may take that offensively, but for me it’s the truth……

The scariest thing for me to think about is belly fat and what is affects.  Belly fat gathers around your organs and eventually begins to expand your waistline as it beings to fill in around your liver, lungs, etc.. putting pressure on them and almost “suffocating” them to the point of failure of that organ.

Image

Just think about your health and all you have to lose if you were to lose your ability to live a normal, healthy life!

Fat and Flab are boneless!!!….

BIG BONED?!?!?

So I guess I should totally explain why I have started this page!

I have been overweight my whole life and until I decide to do something about it and man up to my food failure then nothing will ever change.  So, I chose to start this page to kinda “vent” about crappy things that drive me bonkers and to try and “heal” my food addiction.

Most people can pin point a certain “type” of food, such as ice cream, sweets, Taco Bell, burgers, fried foods, etc, but for me eating out has been the straw that broke the camels back, or in this case that packed on entirely way too many pounds!!!

We didn’t eat out much when I was growing up, due in most part to finances, but even though we didn’t eat out, we still choked down thousands and thousands of calories in that good ol’ southern comfort food!

So my posts may pertain to dieting and foods or just to some general jibber jabber I feel like yacking about.  I may just be talking to myself….. 😉
